Has anyone else noticed an increase in deaths? Is there something going on here that is unusual and should be checked in to?

I've heard there have been some dead beavers seen recently. I haven't noticed any dead animals myself.
Last year I saw a dead piglet in the water in the yacht club basin. I have no idea what it was doing there but there was no mistaking it for anything else.
