A Great Egret flew a few meters over my head this morning. Hopefully, we'll see more of it if it chooses to hang around in the beaver pond. Even though the north shore of Lake Ontario is at the northern limit of their range, we are seeing these magnificent birds more often in the park.

EXOTIC SOUTHERN VISITOR
A Great Egret flew a few meters over my head this morning. Hopefully, we'll see more of it if it chooses to hang around in the beaver pond. Even though the north shore of Lake Ontario is at the northern limit of their range, we are seeing these magnificent birds more often in the park.
