To the question "How do you feel about the skating trail proposed by Parks and Rec, to be located north of the Power House" that was on this website for the whole month preceding the June 5th meeting, 70% of respondents answered "I do not want any more cement in the park, especially if it is close to naturalized areas".
This result approximates the mix of opinion held by the 150 or more people who attended the Skating Trail meeting the other evening, where an estimated 2 out of 3 residents spoke or applauded in opposition to the skating trail.
This is an open blog, not just available solely to FOSS members. The blog's web address was on the flyer hand delivered to every house from New Toronto to Long Branch, south of Birmingham. So, it is clear that, in the wider community, beyond the community groups, there is definitely overwhelming opposition to this project.

Please don't throw these #'s around as being real. We voted for the trail and the next day these numbers were removed. Shame on you!
The poll was automatically removed by the blog's hosts (Google) because it was a TIMED poll. The administrator has no control over it being automatically shut down once the parameters have been initially set. It was timed for the month preceding and up to the June 5th meeting and the accurate results are published in this blog post.
