This amazing photograph was recently taken at Leslie Street Spit (Tommy Thompson Park). It shows migrating whimbrels flying overhead in the mist, on their way, no doubt, towards Sam Smith and, later, James Bay. Note the radio transmitter on the bird at bottom centre.
